Position: Senior/Lead Piping Designer- POWER
Work Location: Bangalore, India
Education: Diploma/BE
Experience: 5+ Years of Experience
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Strong background in power plant projects (conventional or renewable).
- Excellent understanding of piping materials, insulation, pipe supports, and fabrication methods.
- Lead and manage piping design activities for power plant projects including thermal, combined cycle, and renewable power installations.
- Develop and review piping layouts, general arrangement drawings, isometrics, and support designs using software such as Plant 3D, CADWORX or E3D.
- Ensure design compliance with applicable codes (ASME, ANSI, API, etc.), client specifications, and industry best practices.
- Coordinate with process, mechanical, civil, and electrical teams to ensure smooth integration of piping systems.
- Manage design deliverables and ensure timely completion of design packages.
- Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews, and HAZOP meetings.
- Mentor junior designers and drafters and review their work for accuracy and completeness.
- Interface with project management, procurement, and construction teams to resolve design issues and support project execution.
- Ability to work across global teams and manage multiple project interfaces.
Tools Required: AutoCAD Plant 3D or Cadworx or E3D or SP3D.
