Job Description: *Please Note: Work mode Hybrid (Monday to Friday Work from home & Saturday half day for 4.5 hours working) Location - Nariman Point
About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manual Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our application. You will be responsible for designing, executing and documenting manual test cases, identifying and reporting defects and working closely with development teams to resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities: Test Planning and Execution: - Analyze use stories, requirements and technical specifications to create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Execute manual tests for various functionalities, including front-end and back-end.
- Perform regression testing to ensure that new features or bug fixes do not impact existing functionality.
- Document and track all testing activities and results in a clear and concise manner. Defect Management:
- Identify, log and track defects.
- Work closely with developers to reproduce, isolate and resolve defects.
- Conduct root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences of similar defects. Communication and Collaboration:
- Effectively communicate testing status, risks and issues to the project team.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts to ensure quality throughout the software development cycle.
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings. Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes and methodologies.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging testing tools and techniques.
Required Skills and Experiences: - 2+ years of experience as a Manual Tester in investment banking or financial service domain.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), STLC and testing methodologies.
- Experience in testing several of application including web and desktop applications.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Knowledge of SQL and basic database concepts is plus
- Knowledge of Capital market, trading, Equity and Mutual funds.
- Knowledge of automation testing tools like Selenium is a plus
