Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Collibra-based metadata repositories, business glossaries, and governance models.
- Extract metadata from Alation and align it with Collibra's data model.
- Automate metadata ingestion and governance workflows using Collibra APIs.
- Integrate new data sources and existing data marts within Collibra.
- Define and implement data governance roles, policies, and access controls.
- Establish best practices for metadata management, data discovery, and compliance.
- Conduct Collibra training sessions for data stewards and business users to drive adoption.
- Collaborate with data governance, IT, and business teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Monitor metadata quality, enforce governance policies, and continuously optimize Collibra configurations.
- Stay updated on Collibra advancements and industry trends to drive innovation.
Skills Required:
- 10+ years of experience in Collibra implementation, configuration, and administration.
- Strong expertise in Collibra APIs for automation and integration.
- Experience in metadata management, data lineage, and data governance workflows.
- Basic knowledge of Alation with hands-on experience in metadata extraction.
- Proficiency in SQL for metadata validation and analysis.
- Strong understanding of RBAC (Role-Based Access Control), Collibra Edge, and workflow automation.
- Experience in integrating data sources and data marts within governance platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with business and IT stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive projects with minimal supervision.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior team members and lead small teams.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyze issues and provide structured solutions.
