About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Database Administrator (DBA) to join our Cloud Operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database administration, performance optimization, security, and cloud infrastructure support. You will work closely with engineering, support teams, and customers to ensure database integrity, availability, and performance across our cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance SQL queries and database solutions.
Install, configure, and patch Oracle databases (10g/11g/12c/19c) in cloud and on-premises environments.
Manage AWS-based database services such as RDS, EC2, S3, and CloudWatch monitoring.
Perform database performance tuning, indexing strategies, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
Monitor database security, logs, and alerts to detect and resolve issues proactively.
Support data migrations, database cloning, and backup/recovery strategies using RMAN, Data Pump, and other tools.
Automate database tasks using CI/CD pipelines, Ansible, Terraform, or scripting (Python, Shell, SQL).
Work closely with development and DevOps teams to integrate database solutions into cloud infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with data security, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity standards.
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in Oracle database administration in cloud or enterprise environments.
Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and database tuning techniques.
Hands-on experience with AWS database services (RDS, Aurora, EC2, S3, CloudFormation).
Experience in database backup and recovery strategies (RMAN, Data Guard, logical/physical backups).
Working knowledge of Linux/Unix administration, troubleshooting, and shell scripting.
Familiarity with security incident response, auditing, encryption, and user access control.
Excellent troubleshooting skills in database performance, availability, and replication.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
AWS Certification (Solutions Architect, SysOps, or Developer) is a plus.
Experience with Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with GoldenGate, Exadata, RAC, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
