Job Description
- Oversee the entire purchasing process, from sourcing suppliers to negotiating contracts and finalizing orders.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and vendors; actively seek new suppliers to meet project needs.
- Negotiate competitive pricing, terms, and conditions to minimize costs while ensuring quality.
- Manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure that procurement aligns with project schedules.
- Monitor market trends and evaluate product quality, ensuring the best cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards throughout the procurement process.
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 7 to 8 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management in the UAE/GCC region, ideally within the construction/engineering sector.
- Fitout Experience: Previous experience with fitout projects or companies is strongly preferred.
- Skills: Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.
- Driving License: Valid GCC driving license is a must.
- Languages: Fluency in English (both written and spoken). Knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across different teams.
- High attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
