Job Description

Role: Azure Application Architect

Experience: 10 to 15 yrs

Location: Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:

• Design and Architecture experience on J2EE applications (WebLogic) with Java Spring/Java Spring boot
• Understanding of Cloud native design /containerization/Microservices Architecture Principles
• Experience of working with RDBMS/NoSQL DB (Oracle/Postgres/SQLServer)
• Experience of Developing/Migrating Java/J2EE applications on Azure Cloud
• Strong Experience with DevOps methodologies and tools, preferably GitHub Actions/Azure Devops/Jenkins
• Deployment experience using one of more of Pivotal Cloud Foundry / Azure Kubernetes Service/ Azure App Services

Roles & Responsibilities:

Assessment

• Analyze the current Java Application Architecture deployed on PCF/WebLogic/Tomcat and understand
• the various integrations and changes required to migrate to Azure
• Review system configurations (hardware, software and messaging, as appropriate)
• Responsible for the definition of a total disaster recovery plan

Transformation

• Prepare the target technical architecture to migrate PCF/WebLogic/Tomcat Applications
• to Azure Kubernetes Services OR Azure Container Apps based on the feasibility
• Provide Guidance and oversight on key changes required to refactor the application to target state including
• Containerization, configuration externalization/secrets Management etc.
• Incorporate security best practices including identity and access management (Azure AD/OKTA)
• Implement the High availability/Resiliency deployment model as needed by Application Criticality
