Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain Java based modules/applications.
- Perform software coding and unit testing of application/modules using coding standards and designs/patterns.
- Create software development artifacts as required such as functional requirements, business process, class diagrams and Javadoc etc.
- Perform software support tasks such as quality assurance testing, analysis of reported software issues using the JIRA/SugarCRM defect tracking tool, diagnosis of software problems and resolution of software defects. Maintain software accurately in the Subversion source code control system.
- Very strong in Object Oriented Programming concepts.
- Technical Leadership and mentoring internal team members.
- Coordinate with on-site team members and/or customers as required.
Required Skills
- Experience in developing products/projects using Java/J2EE and Big Data (Hadoop Stacks).
- Experience in working with Java based MVC frameworks such as Spring/Struts.
- Experience in working with Java based ORM framework such as Hibernate/Toplink/ /JPA 2.0
- Experience in Java/J2EE software development using IDE such as Eclipse or MyEclipse.
- Experience in creation and consuming Web Services using industry standard protocols such as REST.
- Good expertise in MapR, Pig, Hive, HBASE, Spark, Scala, Kafka etc.
- Excellent working knowledge of JavaScript, Ajax, JQuery etc.
- Well versed with latest UI Technologies such as HTML5, SVG, CSS etc.
- Very strong in database programming (Oracle and SQL)
- Possesses extensive technical knowledge in database tools and technologies for design and implementation.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required.
