Project Technical Lead - R&D (Power Electronics)
We are looking for a project technical lead in our 3 Phase UPS design team who is passionate to lead from front and provide the technical leadership & view of engineering deliverables to other functions and stakeholders working in power electronics or related field. This position is for Data Centre Systems line of business in Schneider Electric.
Key Responsibilities
Working as R&D project lead, representing the engg delivery and backlog ownership to the 3 phase UPS and auxiliary squad.
Plan, develop and deliver the entire engg backlog, leading a few engg team members as an individual contributor in Agile framework and serving as a project leader for the entire project team.
Work with technical experts and SMEs
Review & approval of engineering outcomes, working closely with senior SMEs and technical experts.
Work closely with the product owner, scrum master and other squad members from quality, service, industrialization, offer management etc
Stakeholder management from R&D for the given project(s)/ squad.
Lead technical meetings with the scrum team and own the work progress, quality assurance, and performance in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Analyse project briefs, requirements, and deliverables and convert into technical specs. Ensure that applications are in line with customer needs, safety standards and compliance.
Coaching and technical mentorship to team members
Qualification
Bachelor s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or equivalent; master s degree in Power Electronics is preferable
10-15 years of relevant experience
Required Key Skills & Experience
Working experience with Power Electronics based products, preferably but not limited to UPS domain
Good understanding of power and control architecture of power converters/ power supplies
End to product development life cycle experience is mandatory in R&D environment. Must have good understanding about system architecture and operation
Prior experience as R&D technical lead or project lead in multi-disciplinary environment
Good understanding or exposure of working with people from different functions including engineering, manufacturing, quality, program management, customer team etc.
Working experience in engineering processes such as PMP or other waterfall methods or Agile
Strong knowledge in engineering design deliverables DFM, DFMEA, FTA, EMI/EMC, Safety & regulatory compliance
Proven technical leadership, organizing and communication skills
Ability to work independently and pro-active thought process on project risks, deliverables, and quality
Required Technical Background
3 Phase UPS technologies or any Power Electronics based product or system, experience with power converters, control or system design
Batteries, electrical panels, busbar selection, power cables, power distribution products, transfer switches, transformers, generators, power monitoring solutions, Switch gear and other electrical components
