Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled QA Automation Tester to join our team and focus on ensuring the quality of our Customer Portal. As a key member of the Quality Assurance team, you will design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts to ensure our web application performs flawlessly and meets customer expectations. Your role will involve testing complex features in a dynamic environment and collaborating with developers and product teams to identify issues early in the development cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using modern testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
- Execute automated regression, smoke, and functional tests to ensure the Customer Portal meets quality standards.
- Work closely with developers and business analysts to understand application features, customer workflows, and acceptance criteria.
- Write and maintain test documentation, including test cases, reports, and test plans.
- Perform performance testing, load testing, and security testing on the customer portal as required.
- Identify, track, and communicate defects, ensuring timely resolution.
- Monitor the execution of automated test cases, analyze test results, and generate test reports.
- Collaborate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.
- Ensure test scripts and test environments are well-organized, reusable, and scalable.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- [3-5+] years of experience in QA Automation and testing customer-facing applications (web-based portals).
- Proficiency with automation testing tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests (Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI).
- Hands-on experience with API testing (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and familiarity with tools like JIRA and TestRail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
