Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automation Test Engineer to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the quality and efficiency of our software development process, having a strong background in quality assurance and automation, particularly in the realm of Mobile devices and applications.
This role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation test frameworks that enable efficient testing of our products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Main Responsibility Areas
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and maintainable automation test frameworks, test plans and test scripts for Mobile devices and applications using industry-standard tools and technologies.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts for various testing types, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Participate in design and code reviews to ensure testability and quality.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues in the automation framework and test scripts.
- Identify, document, and track defects, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
- Analyse test results and provide comprehensive reports to identify defects and areas for improvement.
- Stay updated with the latest automation testing tools, techniques, and industry best practices.
- Mentor and guide junior team members in automation testing.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in QA and automation testing.
- Experience with automation tools like Selenium, Serenity BDD, Cucumber, Groovy.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
- Familiarity with Database concepts SQL , Oracle/Maria DB.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices.
- Understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Git.
- Familiarity with build tools such as Maven.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based testing environments.
- Experience in Hosting automation execution in cloud platform
- Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation test frameworks and Test Scripts
- Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Certification in automation testing or software testing.
