Principal Analog Design Engineer
Responsibilities:
Onsemi is seeking a Principal Analog design Engineer, NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT, Power Management, to join our growing team in Bengaluru, India. This group is responsible for development of Power management products including DC-DC PMIC/POL, Multiphase controllers, Dr. MOS, AC-DC converters, LED drivers, SiC drivers, Switches and e-fuses for consumer, industrial and automotive applications. In this role, you will focus on the following
Lead an analog IP block from definition to IP delivery
Evaluate intermediate and results of projects during the design phase and during silicon evaluation, to ensure accomplishment of technical objectives
Work with and provide guidance to physical designers and monitors the progress of IC layout
Collaborate with Design Verification teams during the pre-tapeout phase of a project to ensure completion of all technical tasks before tapeout
Collaborate with validation, product engineering and test engineering teams to enable successful transfer to production
Collaborate with overseas design and systems teams on technical aspects, IP development, sharing of know-how
Own technical outcomes of design, verification, implementation, and execution of power management ICs with complexities that can span from simple regulators to complex mixed-signal designs and control loops
Understand project goals, create a realistic schedule and resource plan, track execution schedule to plan, monitor progress, and provide full clarity to the team on the goals and objectives

LI-VS1 , *Key Qualifications
BS in Electrical Engineering or related + 10 years of experience, or MS + 8 years of experience
Solid track record of delivering multiple complex IPs to manufacturing
Extensive knowledge of engineering processes, principles, and methodologies
Goal and outcome-focused with the ability to handle multiple projects within the team
Ability to attract and retain key engineering talent
Ability to clearly articulate issues, challenges, and concerns to all levels of management
Good understanding of various Power Converters such as Buck, Boost, LDOs, gate drivers, comparators, linear regulators gm-stage and relevant Analog building blocks
Good understanding of topologies and architectures for Constant-on-time, Peak, and Valley Current Mode, Voltage Mode, Multi-Phase Controllers, and Smart Power Stages
Understanding of DC-DC PMIC/POL, Multiphase controllers, Dr. MOS, AC-DC converters, LED drivers, SiC devices and drivers is a strong plus
Strong Analog IC design skills, debug of complex silicon problems using simulations and/or bench testing
Familiarity with advanced Bipolar, CMOS, and High Voltage BCD technology, Process, Device Physics, Semiconductor Manufacturing processes, and their impact on Analog performance
understanding of large power transistor (LDMOS) Design, Layout, and Robustness
Proficiency in leading-edge design and verification tools such as Simplis or MATLAB for architectural simulations, Cadence Spectre for schematic capture, simulation, layout, and tape-out
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
