Position: CISCO Network Engineer - L3
Location: Bangalore- M G road
Timings: 9 PM to 6 AM ( Later rotational Shift from June)
Employment Type: Full-time
Years of experience: 6 - 8 years
IMP Note: CISCO SDA/ SCO DNA /CISCO DNAC ( mandatory)
Key Skills: Cisco DNA, WAN, LAN, CISCO routers, CISCO switchers, CISCO SDA and Palo Alto firewalls
Responsibilities, required skills and competencies-
Configure and Deploy Cisco-based network solutions (LAN, WAN, WLAN) for enterprise environments.
Should possess deep understanding (stack scalability, configuration, implementation, troubleshooting and deployment) of networking protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and MPLS (from a client/customer perspective)
Working experience (configure, manage and troubleshoot) on VLANs, STP, trunking, and Layer 2/Layer 3 switching is mandatory.
Diagnose and resolve network-related issues with relevant tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, COMM view etc.,
Configure and manage Cisco SD-WAN solutions to optimize network performance across distributed environments
SDA working knowledge (policy, fabric and analytics).
Cisco DNA Center - components, management and integration experience with tie-ins for SD-WAN.
Configure, manage and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls, including security policies, NAT, and VPNs. Practical exposure to Rule management, traffic inspection and threat prevention is mandatory. Exposure to multi-vendor environment is preferred
Troubleshoot wireless network solutions, ensuring availability and connectivity.
Experience with wireless network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with Wi-Fi security protocols and access point management.
Experience in channel optimization, band management and scalability are a must.
Experience in implementing QoS (Quality of Service) and managing network performance is a must.
Extensive working knowledge of F5 LTM, GTM, GSlb, experience in identification and fixing of incorrect balancing algorithm configuration, misconfigured pool member settings, health-checks and connectivity issues is mandatory.
Experience in network monitoring/management tools like LogicMonitor, PRTG, or similar platforms is preferred.
Escalate unresolved issues to senior engineers(L3) or vendors, as needed.
Preferred Skills
Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, etc.).
Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, etc.) and integration with on-premise networks.
Performance Optimization:
Optimize network configurations to ensure high availability and performance.
Perform periodic audits of network devices and provide recommendations for improvements.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive documentation of network designs, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
Provide regular reports on network health, performance, and incident resolution.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams to deploy network solutions based on business requirements, support network integration projects.
Assist in implementing new technologies and upgrading existing infrastructure.
