What youll be doing.. We need to keep our reliable network thriving to provide our customers with high quality products and services. You will be a key member of the solution architecture team.You will specify solution architecture and design for systems used by Verizon Consumer Group.As DMTS in the solution architecture team, you will guide and mentor teams of solution architects, including transforming business processesdriving customer and employee experience by infusing AI. You will coordinate with/between product owners, project management, VGS Tech development teams to create consensus on technical approaches and the high level architecture proposed. As a domain authority, you will also provide thought leadership and provide direction and input to collaborate across organisations. Delivering high level architecture for projects approved by business for execution across Mobility, FWA, FiOS and Value Evaluating and conducting proofs of concept for open source and commercial technologies to improve customer and employee experience in collaboration with VGS Tech Delivering north star architecture for identified business domain to drive system modernization, reduce license spend and adopt new GenAI tools Contributing towards bringing synergies across VCG and VBG to build once and reuse across Researching and evaluating new technologies and translating business objectives and strategies into plans. Conducting feasibility analysis and vendor evaluation, developing project plans, leading HLD effort, and supporting deployment. You will conduct presentations and briefings to executive level stakeholders Where you'll be working.. In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager. What were looking for.. You should be familiar with Verizon Consumer Group ecosystem is essential, domain knowledge and different stacks across Postpaid and Prepaid. Youll need to haveBachelors degree or four or more years of work experience. Six or more years of relevant work experience. Ability to work closely and collaboratively with other teams and departments. Good interpersonal skills and good communication skills are required, including the discipline to document decisions and architectural approaches using standard collaboration tools. Experience in defining and following standards, while maintaining the agility and flexibility to adapt to changes. Experience in assessing current systems landscape to identify improvement opportunities and prepare modernisation approach / publish North Star Architecture Experience in high-volume telecommunications systems supporting analytics Previous software development experience (Full stack or COTS etc.) Experience on micro-services architecture with domain driven approach Familiarity with cloud-computing/virtualization technologies. Even better if you have one or more of the following
Advanced degree in computer science. Familiarity and designing solutions adopting tmForum standards such as eTOM, Open APIs, ODA etc. Experience in understanding Gen AI tools and platforms Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture Framework like TOGAF.
