POSITION SUMMARY

This role will be responsible for identifying, evaluation, development and implementation of all data science & analytics solutions across capability owners aimed at leveraging technology, automation to lead/drive digital strategies/ projects in APAC region.

He/she will work in close partnership with the market and regional Global Supply Chain (GSC) to understand future requirements, identify, design, develop, implement and sustainment of innovative solutions.

He/she will also act as SME on data science/digital related topics in the region, work with Digital Client Partner and other regions to design new analytical solutions and to deliver digital solutions in support of breakthrough goals, create innovative cultures and ideas, continuous improvement on digitals initiatives in support of supply chain strategy, drive end-to-end supply chain process improvement and pursue advanced digital capability for APAC region.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify, lead, coordinate and support cross functional teams in the development and evaluation a new models for business opportunities on data science initiatives/projects to deliver better value of data, flexibility/ agility, improved service, quality and cost efficiency in the supply chain.
• Prioritize, scope and manage data science projects and the corresponding key performance indicators (KPIs) for success.
• Discover new data sources, design and create data pipelines for more efficient and replicatable data science projects and its reports.
• Apply statistical analysis and visualization techniques to various data, generate and test hypotheses using various quantitative methods
• Develop strong partnerships with relevant stakeholders at all levels of the GSC organization to better understand business strategy, evaluate deployment options, drive business process and analytical understanding, corrective action, implementation and sustainability of supporting Digital application.
• Continuously monitor execution and establish best practices for data science/digital projects.
• Explore tools supporting and enabling the Digital Roadmap in APAC and identify internal and external learning platforms for these tools
• Provide SME guidance and support for Digitalization and Analytics evaluations in APAC
• Act as an APAC representative in the global forums/projects for digitization, process optimization and data science initiatives/projects
• Partner with PGS/GSC and key stakeholders to ensure appropriate deployment of global and regional supply chain digital strategies

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor s degree with a minimum of 5 years experience in Data Science, Analytics or related field is required. Advanced degree or MBA preferred. Must have strong customer service and total data quality orientation. Experience working in a team environment with limited direction to complete work assignments accurately and on time, including prioritizing multiple requests for competing projects along with day to day customer support. High knowledge of Data Science tools and platforms preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as operations research, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, computer science, business analytics or analytics-focused, supply chain management programs; advanced degree preferred.
• Data analysis experience with heterogeneous data types and familiarity of big data, analytics and/or data mining environments (in operations, manufacturing or supply chain preferred)
• 3+ years of programming experience with one or more analytics tools (SQL, Python, R or SAS)
• Machine Learning and predictive modeling skills: Ability to design, deploy & maintain models to predict future outcomes using data that is often incomplete and/or imperfect and contained in disparate sources.
• Statistical analysis: Ability to understand and improve possible limitations in models.
• Hypothesis testing: In collaboration with key stakeholders, able to develop hypotheses and test them.
• Demonstrated capabilities in analyzing heterogeneous datasets; Ability to identify trends, identify outliers and find patterns.
• More than 5 years of experience in managing technology, digital and supply chain projects
• Demonstrated depth of knowledge of the healthcare industry, the customer, and market insight
• Understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing operations and end-to-end supply chain a plus
• Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to drive desired outcomes
• Passionate about working in a fast paced, positively charged environment that focuses on delivering business results.
• Ability to work in a complex international matrix organization.
