Job Description
Role: SQL Database Administrator
Experience: 8 to 12 years
Location: Chennai
Key Responsibilities :
- Application administrator will be responsible for the availability of various Application components and underlying environments.
- Configure and harden environments in line with documentation provided.
- Resolve issues/requests within SLAs
- Monitor availability of enough disk space
- Ensure various backups are in place
- Ensure all scheduled jobs run successfully
- The administrator should be able to work on multiple environments at the same time.
- Analyse Log Files to find out the root cause of the problem to troubleshoot.
- Managing Production changes through release process on DEV / TEST / PROD.
- Provided support on 24/7 rotational shifts.
Required Skills & Experience :
- Understanding of the deployment process
- Good understanding of RPOs and RTOs
- Experience in analysing various error logs, troubleshoot issues
- Perform RCAs, document issues, ensure CAPA is done.
- Thorough understanding of SSL Certificates, Load Balancers, Web Application Firewalls
- Understanding of API/ file/FTP based integration with third party systems
- Thorough knowledge of SQL Server Database Instance
- Good understanding of SQL Server Security features
- Good SQL Server troubleshooting skills
- Good knowledge of configuring SSIS, SSRS, deploying RDL files for the SSRS reports.
- Good knowledge of Windows Server OS and components like IIS
- Good interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
- Good Knowledge in writing and analysing the PowerShell scripts.
- Good problem-solving ability
- Certification on SQL is an added advantage
- Available for 24/7 rotational shifts
- 8 to 12 years
- Education Qualification: Any Engineering or MCA with good academic background
