Job Description
Alcor seeking a highly skilled and creative Graphic Designer with a strong background in motion graphics, social media, event collateral, and brand development. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a keen eye for visual aesthetics and a passion for creating visually compelling multimedia content. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical expertise, and has the aptitude to upskill with agility to deliver high-quality, engaging visuals that align with our brand and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Development: Create captivating designs for multimedia collateral, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and visual standards.
- Innovation: Develop design solutions tailored to diverse stakeholders within the research and innovation sectors, incorporating fresh, innovative approaches.
- Research & Trends: Conduct in-depth research on content requirements and stay informed on design trends.
- Tool Mastery: Proficient in leveraging tools like Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, and Creative Cloud to create compelling and impactful visuals. Skilled in PowerPoint for effective presentation design, with additional experience in Figma as a value-added asset.
- Digital & Social Media Trends: Stay current with evolving design practices across social and digital media platforms to ensure relevancy and innovation.
- Quality Control: Ensure top-quality output by meticulously reviewing work and making adjustments to meet design standards.
- Brand Consistency: Maintain brand consistency across all deliverables, ensuring cohesive visual language in all projects.
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects independently, effectively prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in both solo and team settings.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback, clarify project needs, and align deliverables with strategic goals.
- Professional Growth: Continuously explore new design techniques and tools to expand skills and embrace professional development.
- Trend Experimentation: Experiment with emerging design trends and technologies, bringing fresh, creative ideas to projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or equivalent industry experience (4 - 6 years).
- Proven experience in motion graphics, social media design, event collateral, and brand development.
- Strong design principles, attention to detail, and a keen eye for visual aesthetics.
- Excellent time management skills with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse personalities across teams.
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop; experience with the full Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office is an advantage.
- Strong portfolio showcasing website design, social media content, video visualization, and motion graphics.
- Exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship with a proven track record of delivering quality work under deadlines.
- Humble, driven, and adaptable attitude, with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to articulate design decisions, justify creative approaches, and stay up-to-date with design trends.
