RoleOverview:
As a Software Development Engineer inTest (SDET) Lead , you will play a pivotal role in ensuringthe quality and performance of our products through test automation andnon-functional testing. You will collaborate closely with global teams todesign, develop, and implement automated testing solutions, focusing on bothAPI and web automation using Playwright, as well as performance testing withJMeter. Your expertise in data-driven testing and non-functional testing willbe critical in enhancing our CI/CD pipeline and overall software quality.
KeyResponsibilities:
Design, create, and executeautomated tests using Playwright and TypeScript to ensure the functionality ofour software features and user interfaces. This includes developing smoketests, regression test suites, and contributing to the overall quality assuranceprocess.
Develop and execute data-driventesting strategies to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Perform non-functional testing,including performance testing using JMeter and google lighthouse, to assesssystem stability and scalability.
Participate in ongoing productspecification and code reviews to align testing efforts with product goals.
Collaborate with cross-functionalteams to translate customer requirements into effective automated tests.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines byintegrating automated tests and supporting continuous integration anddeployment processes.
Support various testing efforts,including functional, security, stress, and failure injection testing, with afocus on continuous improvement and innovation.
Youll be responsible for activelyparticipating in story grooming sessions, where youll collaborate with thedevelopment team to clarify requirements, identify potential risks, and ensurethat all test scenarios are accounted for.
As the owner of the productsquality, you will oversee the entire testing process, from planning toexecution, ensuring that all features meet the highest standards before theyare released.
You will also play a key role inmaking critical decisions during go/no-go calls, where you will assess thereadiness of the product for release. This involves evaluating test results,identifying any unresolved issues, and determining whether the product is fitfor deployment.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of developmentand testing experience, with a strong emphasis on test automation andnon-functional testing.
Education: Bachelordegree in Engineering,Computer Science, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in using Playwright forAPI and web automation.
Experience with data-driventesting methodologies.
Strong understanding ofperformance testing tools, particularly JMeter.
Familiarity with continuousintegration / deployment (CI/CD) environments.
Knowledge of testing methodologiessuch as TDD, BDD, and ATDD in an agile setting.
Strong coding skills in scriptinglanguages such as Python, JavaScript, C#, or Java.
Experience with DevOps tools suchas Jenkins, Git, and Octopus Deploy.
Solid understanding ofobject-oriented programming (OOP) principles and coding standards.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solvingabilities, with a keen eye for detail.
Strong verbal and writtencommunication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively ina global team environment.
PreferredQualifications:
Experience with scanning toolslike SonarQube, NDepend, or Fortify.
Familiarity with exploratory andusability testing.
Understanding of RDBMS, SQL, anddatabase testing.
