About the Role:
As a Software Testing Engineer at EaseMyTrip.com, you'll ensure the quality and reliability of our software through thorough testing. Responsibilities include evaluating software processes, creating test strategies, and executing test plans to identify and address defects before product releases. Your role, requiring technical skills and attention to detail, directly impacts user satisfaction by delivering error-free software that enhances our digital services.
Role & responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance Oversight: Evaluate software quality assurance practices to ensure the integrity and stability of software products.
- Methodology Expertise: Implement and oversee software QA methodologies to optimize testing processes.
- Test Documentation: Write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Black Box Testing Execution: Perform black box and other forms of testing to validate software functionality.
- Feedback on Documentation: Analyze requirements, specifications, and technical documents to provide timely feedback.
- Test Case Development: Create detailed and well-structured test cases based on project requirements.
- Testing Coordination: Estimate, prioritize, plan, and manage testing activities to ensure timely project execution.
- Bug Tracking: Identify, document, and track bugs through rigorous testing processes, covering various testing stages.
- Process Enhancement: Develop and refine testing processes for new and existing products to ensure quality.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest in test strategies, bug life cycles, and STLC processes.
Preferred candidate profile:
- Agile/Scrum Proficiency: Possess a deep understanding of Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
- Tool Proficiency: Skilled in using software testing tools such as Postman for API testing and Fireflink
- Effective Communication: Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical team members.
- SQL Knowledge: Experienced in using SQL for data manipulation and testing purposes.
- JIRA Expertise: Familiar with JIRA for managing projects, tasks, and issues related to software bugs.
- Team Collaboration: Able to collaborate effectively within a team environment to meet testing goals.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate testing challenges.
- Detail Oriented: Attentive to details, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting of test results and issues.
