Azure Cloud Engineer @ IT Services

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and execute on-prem to Azure cloud migration projects for enterprise workloads.
• Perform AVS to Azure Native migration, including workload modernization and re-platforming.
• Provision and manage Azure IaaS and PaaS services, including VMs, App Services, Azure SQL, and Storage Accounts.
• Work with Azure Migration tools like Azure Migrate, ASR (Azure Site Recovery), and Database Migration Service (DMS).
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and templates.
• Write and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell or Shell scripting.
• Configure and manage Azure networking (VNet, NSG, VPN, ExpressRoute) and security components (Azure AD, RBAC, Key Vault, NSG).
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, network, and deployment issues in Azure.
• Collaborate with application and operations teams for successful workload transition and post-migration support.

Required Experience:

• 6-8 years of total experience, with at least 3+ years in Azure cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS & PaaS, resource provisioning, and cost optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Migrate, ASR, DMS, and other migration tools.
• Familiarity with AVS (Azure VMware Solution) and strategies for transitioning to Azure native services.
• Expertise in Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep for infrastructure automation.
• Strong scripting abilities in PowerShell or Shell (Bash).
• Experience with Azure networking, firewall rules, and security best practices.

Preferred Certifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect (optional but preferred)

Qualifications: B. Tech in Computer Science.
