Job Description
Role & responsibilities for POS Tester
- Execute functional, regression, and system-level testing for POS applications (hardware and software).
- Create, review, and maintain detailed test plans and test cases based on system requirements.
- Perform end-to-end testing of retail POS workflows (e.g., sales transactions, returns, discounts, payments).
- Identify, log, and track defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Validate integration of POS with other systems such as inventory, payment gateways, and CRM.
- Participate in UAT and production verification testing as required.
Role & responsibilities for Front end Automation Tester
Functional & UI Testing:
- Conduct automated UI and regression testing to validate user interfaces and workflows.
- Ensure front-end components function correctly across different browsers and devices (cross-browser testing).
- Identify, report, and track defects in collaboration with developers.
Performance & Accessibility Testing:
- Conduct performance testing for web applications to optimize loading speed and responsiveness.
- Validate front-end accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA) using automation tools.
Collaboration & Documentation:
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and UX designers to understand requirements.
- Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (scrum meetings, sprint planning, retrospectives).
Continuous Improvement:
- Optimize test coverage and execution speed through best practices and new technologies.
- Stay up to date with emerging automation tools and front-end testing trends.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with mobile testing automation (Appium, Detox).
- Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
- Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow).
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
