Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation QA Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in automated testing. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on expertise in automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Cucumber, and Postman, with a solid understanding of web application testing, API automation, and the ability to build robust test automation frameworks from scratch. Experience in mobile automation testing using Appium and API automation using Rest Assured will be considered a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for web and API testing from the ground up.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts across multiple platforms and browsers using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and Cucumber.
- Implement and maintain API test suites using Postman and, optionally, Rest Assured.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing of web applications.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and rapid feedback loops.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure test coverage and high product quality.
- Advocate and implement QA best practices, coding standards, and test strategy improvements.
- Conduct code reviews of automation scripts and mentor junior QA team members.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in QA automation and bring innovative ideas to improve test efficiency and coverage.
- (Good to have) Develop and execute mobile automation tests using Appium for iOS and Android applications.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in QA Automation with proven experience in multiple tools like:
- Selenium
- Cypress
- Playwright
- Cucumber
- Postman (API Testing)
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java/Javascript
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile frameworks.
- Solid experience in writing and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Strong experience in web application testing and test planning.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language used in automation (e.g., JavaScript, Java, Python).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
