Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Administrator with a minimum of 10 years of experience in managing and supporting SAP systems. The ideal candidate should have deep technical expertise in SAP Basis administration, experience across ECC and S/4HANA landscapes, and a strong background in database management, automation, and disaster recovery planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and support SAP systems including ECC, S/4HANA, and other SAP landscapes.
- Perform regular system monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and performance.
- Work on both Oracle and HANA databases, performing installations, upgrades, and maintenance tasks.
- Manage system copies, client copies, kernel upgrades, patch management, and OSS note implementations.
- Implement automation tools such as SAP Landscape Management (LAMA) for routine tasks and performance optimization.
- Configure and manage Solution Manager (SolMan) for system monitoring, EWA reports, ChaRM, and landscape documentation.
- Participate in and manage Disaster Recovery (DR) setup and drills to ensure business continuity.
- Lead and mentor a small team of SAP Basis professionals.
- Engage with customers and stakeholders directly to understand requirements, resolve issues, and ensure quality delivery.
- Collaborate with functional, technical, and infrastructure teams to support ongoing projects and operations.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis Administration.
- Strong experience working on ECC, S/4HANA, Oracle, and HANA DB.
- Proven track record in supporting large-scale SAP environments.
- Experience in SAP automation, especially with LAMA or similar tools.
- Solid knowledge of SAP Solution Manager (SolMan).
- Experience in disaster recovery (DR) planning, setup, and execution, BW, Charm
- Ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and customer-facing experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP Basis Certification (optional but preferred).
- Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) for SAP hosting is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes.
