Job Description
- PURPOSE Under general supervision for big data development and support for production deployed applications. Analyzes business and functional requirements for completeness and develops code with minimum supervisions Works with other members of the team to ensure accurate , timely communication around and delivery of assigned tasks in order to ensure that end-products will perform as expected upon release to production. Ensures that software defects or issues are handled as per production timelines and within SLA. Responsibilities Authors defined sets of test cases within the scope of a broader defined testing strategy and may be involved in test strategy development for Configuration and Custom reports. Authors test cases for Configuration and Custom reports. Works with other members of the project team to gain necessary input and execute appropriate revisions to ensure accurate and complete software development activities, including but not limited to impact analysis, code merges, deployment, performance monitoring. Creates test data to support test case execution. Assists in internal peer reviews of code merges. Report status, progress, and concerns in a proactive, consistent, and accurate manner to the stakeholders directly. Provides risk assessment throughout dev cycles and able to prioritize the work. Knowledge and understanding of, and willingness to adhere to, system and big data strategies/approaches adopted by IQVIA Keeps current on software applications development industry knowledge and implements new OSS Would be open for production support roles in the project. All responsibilities are essential job functions unless noted as nonessential (N). Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities 5-8 years of overall experience, with minimum 2-3 years in Big data Proficient in Big Data Technologies HDFS, Hive, Pig, Sqoop, HBase and Oozie. Strong experience in SQL Queries. Strong experience in Airflow. Strong experience in PSql, CI-CD, Jenkins. Good Experience in UNIX commands. Excellent communication skills, comprehensive skills, Good confidence level, Proven Analytical, Logical and Problem Solving Techniques. Having good work experience in Spark Application Development. Having a very good knowledge of ETL and ELT tools Possess fine-tuned analytical skills and be very detail oriented Ability to work well with colleagues from different aspects of the work environment.
