Job Description

DSP (Delivery Service Partner) team's mission is to underpin Amazon's transportation network, handling all delivery types with scalable, innovative, and low-cost operations. We exist in 18 countries, delivering >10B packages annually representing 90%+ WW Amazon logistics (AMZL) Volume. DSP Tech empowers DSPs to build high quality and sustainable logistics companies. Our foundational tenets of building for global from day 1 and being multi-program aware & multi-tenant tech brings multiple tech opportunities at scale. We are continuously working on exceeding customer experience expectations, building on our mobile first strategy and building highly evolvable tech systems across all domains of logistics life cycle.
DSP Tech teams is spread across US and IN. This position is open for HYD (HYD13) location. DSP Tech IN team is responsible for 5 critical work streams - 1) provider hiring, vetting and onboarding, 2) capacity and work planning, 3) unified communications and DSP engagement, 4) fleet inventory, safety and compliance 5) logistics portal platform & tools.
The technology involved encompasses full stack of software development, including customer (DSP, DA, AMZL, internal operators) facing applications, key services (tier-1 services critical for delivery), data storage and publishing. The team owns systems with services, applications with dependent systems across 3 VP organisations. We believe we are at an inflection point and need a seasoned SDE3 leader who can partner in building technical strategy and influence strategic decisions for the org.
As a seasoned Senior Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for owning and driving large-scale customer-impacting and long term architecture initiatives, defining and solving endemic problems. You will have opportunity to work on complex problems like preserving the customer promise of safety, ease of use, low cost and scale systems for entire network.
Key job responsibilities
* You can effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions to tech and non-tech audiences.
* You are adept at solving and tracking intrinsically hard tech problems.
* You can take output of science (research science) docs in our areas of ownership and identify opportunities to enhance our products & guide on strategy.
* You amplify your impact by leading design reviews for complex software projects and/or critical features. You probe assumptions, pitfalls, and foster shared understanding.
* You recognize what role you need to play in a given situation, and shift how you work to meet differing needs.
* You remain hands on. You focus your time on the code and code reviews that have the most impact on your product.
A day in the life
You will be part of a team that is responsible for all aspects of logistics capacity, onboarding and customer experience areas covering visual interface, back end services and data. You will be working with technologies that improve usability, increase resiliency & scalability.
You will be discovering and understanding the vast diversity of logistics world and contributing to high impact use cases.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Hyderabad, TS, IND, - 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 7+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team - 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
