Big basket is hiring!Position : Category Manager ( AM - Travel & Accessories, Gifts & Home Dcor, Electrical Accessories,Toys,Games,Cookware & Kitchen accessories, Glassware & Crockery, Festive/Toys/ Party Supplies/Books/Stationery)
Location - Bangalore.Required Education and Experience: MBA with 7 - 15+ years of experience in category management.
Preferred: Candidates from E-commerce, Retail, FMCG, industries would be preferred.Job Role: Build and maintain multiple category assortment, vendor relationships, partnerships with new brands on a consistent basis to ensure alignment & execution of annual business plans and run relevant brand campaigns on the platform.
Complete Take complete ownership of the PnL of the category (or) part of portfolio including key metrics & targets such as Sales, Margin, Inventory control, onsite merchandising and product selection.
Understand current market trends, opportunities, assortment, competition and use this knowledge to properly curate assortment and execute event planning onsite.
Execute competitive analysis as well as recommend strategies and tactics to improve sales and category penetration.
Work closely with various cross functional departments within the company and align teams for timely execution.
Proficient in problem solving skills to deal with complexity and standardized processes to come up with quick scalable solutions to the problem.
. Understand business nuances and ability to take decisions based on sound data analysis and business understanding to improve the business metrics.Additional Skills -
Proficient in brand management skills and on-site merchandising.
Strong negotiation skills and cross functional collaboration.
