Job Description
As a Senior Front-end Web Developer, you ll partner with Marketing, Creative, and Engineering teams to deliver an exceptional website experience. Reporting to the Director of Web and SEO, you ll lead front-end initiatives, mentor two developers, and drive innovation using modern JavaScript frameworks and headless CMS solutions. This is not just another coding role you ll own front-end architecture, influence design, enhance performance, and ensure seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead Front-end Development: Own and enhance our React-based web architecture using Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and Headless CMS (Prismic). Set best practices and ensure high-quality, maintainable code.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Creative, Content, and Marketing teams to translate business needs into engaging web experiences.
- Translate Figma designs into mobile-first, pixel-perfect UI: Convert design files into clean HTML using Tailwind CSS, and seamlessly integrate components within the React/Next.js framework.
- Mentor & Guide: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a small team of developers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment..
- Optimize Performance: Ensure fast, responsive, and SEO-friendly web pages. Implement modern performance techniques like lazy loading, code splitting, and caching
- Innovate Continuously: Stay updated with the latest in React, Next.js, and front-end trends. Propose and implement improvements in UX, UI, and web tooling.
- Ensure Scalability: Build reusable components and scalable solutions aligned with design systems and development standards.
- Collaborate via Git: Manage code repositories, conduct reviews, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using platforms like GitHub and Vercel.
Education
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
Experience
- 6+ years in front-end development with strong proficiency in React.js, Next.js, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3/Tailwind CSS.
- Hands-on experience with Headless CMS (Prismic preferred, but open to others like Contentful or Strapi).
- Prior experience mentoring developers or leading projects (formal management not required).
- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments with tools like Jira, Slack, and Confluence.
Knowledge Ability & Skills
- Ability to work alongside designers, understanding Figma/Adobe XD workflows, and ensuring pixel-perfect implementations.
- Knowledge of technical SEO principles, Core Web Vitals, and performance optimization.
- Strong Git skills, familiar with pull requests, branching strategies, and code reviews.
- Familiarity with GraphQL.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and deployment on platforms like Vercel.
- Animation libraries (Framer Motion, GSAP) for enhancing UI interactivity.
