Job Description
Responsive, the leading response management software solution on the market, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong analytical background and proven experience in financial planning and data analysis. You will play a crucial role in providing insights to senior management and supporting key business decisions. Reporting to the Director of Finance Analytics & Transformation, the Senior Data Analyst should be comfortable adapting to changing circumstances, be entrepreneurial in spirit, and be capable of influencing and affecting change at the highest levels of the organization.
As a requirement for this position, the candidate should be willing to work in US Shift hours part of the time.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain rolling financial forecasts, pinpointing potential risks and opportunities.
- Construct and analyze financial models to inform business planning and strategic decisions.
- Deliver insightful financial analyses to leadership, emphasizing key trends and performance drivers.
- Design and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor financial results and offer practical insights.
- Pinpoint and implement enhancements to streamline and improve the accuracy of processes.
- Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated dashboards, reports, and visualizations for executive and operational decision support.
- Analyze extensive and intricate datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and crucial insights related to business expansion, customer retention, and product improvement.
- Work collaboratively with teams across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Engineering to grasp data requirements and provide customized analytical solutions.
- Establish and champion best practices for data analysis, modeling, and reporting throughout the organization.
- Guide and educate stakeholders on data understanding and analytical approaches.
- Spearhead efforts to enhance data quality, reliability, and management.
- Keep abreast of industry developments, tools, and technologies to ensure the company utilizes leading-edge analytical methods.
Education
- Bachelor s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field; Master s degree preferred.
Experience
- 12+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within SaaS or a related technology sector
- Experience in SQL, Python, R, or other analytical programming languages.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Strong understanding of database systems, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
- Experience with ERP/CRM systems, Oracle, NetSuite, Salesforce.
Knowledge Ability & Skills
- Extremely strong financial modeling skills.
- Highly proficient with MS Office Suite; familiarity with Google Suite.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and detail.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills - able to articulate insights effectively, not just report numbers.
- Ability to communicate complex findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to "dive deep" into details and synthesize findings for presentation to leadership.
- Capable of building strong relationships with colleagues and presenting to business leaders.
- Demonstrated experience in driving strategic initiatives through data insights.
- Natural curiosity with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective at prioritizing and executing multiple tasks simultaneously.
