Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Development Engineer to join our team for a full-time position based in Chennai. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable web applications and RESTful services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the design and implementation of modern software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, Develop, and Maintain Web-Based Applications: Utilize the .NET framework to build robust and scalable applications.
- Build and Consume RESTful APIs: Develop APIs to support application functionality, ensuring high-performance communication between services.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with various teams to define, design, and ship new features in a collaborative, agile environment.
- Utilize Modern DevOps Tools: Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GIT, and SQL Server for continuous integration and deployment.
- Write Optimized SQL Queries: Design and implement efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and other database enhancements.
- Participate in Code Reviews: Engage in peer code reviews to ensure high-quality code standards and maintainability.
- Unit Testing and Documentation: Write unit tests to ensure the reliability of software and maintain clear, concise documentation.
- Troubleshoot and Resolve Application Issues: Identify and resolve technical issues and bugs in a timely and efficient manner.
Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-Have):
- Strong hands-on experience in developing and maintaining web applications using the .NET framework.
- Proficiency in Azure DevOps, GIT, and SQL Server for version control, automation, and database management.
- Expert in SQL: Ability to write complex and optimized queries, design stored procedures, and perform query enhancements.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development.
- Experience in collaborative environments with cross-functional teams.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for application-related issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work within a diverse team.
Nice to Have (Additional Skills/Certifications):
- Certification in Cloud Platforms: Any certification in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
- Experience in automated testing (Unit Testing, Integration Testing) is desirable.
