Job Description
Maximus is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Spring Framework, and AWS, coupled with hands-on experience in front-end and back-end development. The individual should be proficient in designing, developing, and deploying web services and applications, with a focus on building efficient, scalable solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, secure, and scalable software solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into robust technical solutions
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to manage large datasets
- Build and optimize RESTful web services, ensuring seamless integration with front-end components
- Implement and maintain server-side logic, using Java, SpringBoot, and Hibernate frameworks
- Develop and maintain build scripts and tools for continuous integration and deployment
- Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure to ensure the scalability and reliability of cloud-based solutions
- Work on front-end technologies (HTML/CSS, JavaScript frameworks) to enhance the user interface and user experience
- Utilize JMS for messaging services and integrate various components through web services
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data manipulation and reporting
- Ensure adherence to best practices in software development, code reviews, testing, and deployment
SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in Java and frameworks such as Spring, SpringBoot, and Hibernate
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks
- Experience with JSP/JSF for developing dynamic web pages
- Solid understanding of HTML/CSS for front-end development
- Expertise in building and maintaining ETL pipelines
- Experience working with AWS services for cloud deployment, monitoring, and maintenance
- Knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases
- Familiarity with Build Scripts (Maven, Gradle) for CI/CD pipelines
- Hands-on experience with JMS (Java Message Service) for messaging and integration
- Strong understanding of web services (RESTful APIs, SOAP)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree with work experience
- Excellent verbal and communication skills (ability to present the facts)
- Deep knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, Iterative Development)
- Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.js
- Knowledge of healthcare, insurance, or financial services is a plus
- Certification in AWS is a plus.
