Job Description
The Civil Site Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive planning, execution, and management of construction projects, ensuring their structural integrity, safety, and adherence to local codes and environmental regulations. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders to deliver projects efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Design
- Develop detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Bill of Materials (BOM) for accurate cost estimation.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and design teams to integrate functional and aesthetic components.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost analysis, and budgeting to ensure financial viability.
2. Site Supervision & Management
- Oversee all construction activities to ensure work execution aligns with design specifications, schedules, and budgets.
- Monitor project progress, enforce quality control measures, and uphold health & safety standards.
- Coordinate and liaise with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Resolve on-site challenges related to labor, materials, and technical discrepancies in an efficient manner.
3. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure strict adherence to local building codes, environmental regulations, and occupational safety standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures to minimize site hazards.
- Train site personnel on safety protocols and emergency response plans.
4. Technical Oversight
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation to validate accuracy and feasibility.
- Conduct inspections and testing of materials such as concrete, steel, soil to ensure compliance with structural integrity.
- Provide technical guidance to resolve construction challenges and optimize project execution.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive project records, including daily site reports, inspection logs, change orders, and contractual documentation.
- Prepare periodic progress reports for senior management, highlighting milestones, risks, and recommendations.
- Ensure proper documentation of all modifications and updates for project transparency and auditing purposes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Experience: Proven track record in site management, structural engineering, or project execution.
- Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, budgeting, and communication abilities.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with project management tools, CAD software, and industry-standard reporting platforms.
