Job Description
We are looking for a passionate Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our New Product Development (NPD) team focused on industrial machines and automation systems. You will work alongside our design and production teams to assist in prototyping, testing, assembly, and documentation of new mechanical systems.
Location: Thiruvottiyur, Chennai.
Duration: 6 Months (Full-time, Onsite)
Eligibility: Final-year students or recent graduates in Mechanical Engineering
Stipend: Rs.15,000 to 20,000 based on skillset
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in CAD design and development of mechanical parts using SolidWorks or AutoCAD
- Support fabrication, machining, and prototyping of assemblies
- Participate in assembly, testing, and quality checks of machines
- Help with installation and commissioning at client sites when needed
- Prepare 2D drawings, BOMs, and support documentation
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams during the development cycle
What Were Looking For
- B.E. or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (final-year or recently graduated)
- Interest in product design, mechanisms, and machine building
- Basic proficiency in 2D/3D CAD tools
- Hands-on approach and willingness to work on the shop floor
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
