Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive L2 Cloud Support Engineer specializing in AWS and Azure platforms. The ideal candidate will provide second-level support, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure the stability and efficiency of cloud-based environments. You will work closely with cloud architects, developers, and L1 support teams to manage escalations, perform incident analysis, and implement solutions aligned with industry best practices. and be comfortable troubleshooting, managing, and optimizing cloud-based applications. You will be responsible for resolving technical issues related to AWS services, providing customer support, and assisting in the development of cloud-based solutions
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 2 support for cloud-based systems hosted on AWS and Azure.
  • Respond to service incidents, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions or workarounds.
  • Assist in provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of cloud resources (VMs, Storage, Networking, Databases, IAM, etc.).
  • Manage backup, recovery, and failover procedures for cloud environments.
  • Monitor system performance and cloud services using monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, etc.).
  • Assist in implementing security policies and compliance measures across cloud platforms.
  • Coordinate with L3 support and engineering teams for complex issue resolution and environment improvements.
  • Perform regular patch management, OS updates, and cloud service updates.
  • Maintain technical documentation, including procedures, runbooks, and incident reports.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation when required.
  • Ensure compliance with security and operational policies and standards.
  • Provide 24/7 support for AWS infrastructure, applications, and services, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient operation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, and more.
  • Utilize Java, .Net, or Python to develop scripts, tools, and automation for AWS management and optimization tasks.
  • Provide Level 2 technical support for Git-based source code management systems (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Terraform configuration and deployment pipelines.
  • Assist development teams with Git branching strategies, merge conflicts, and version control best practices.
  • Manage Terraform environments, modules, and state files.
  • Monitor and resolve issues in the cloud infrastructure, ensuring that resources are provisioned, updated, and maintained efficiently.
  • Participate in the development, maintenance, and optimization of Terraform modules and templates.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams on best practices in Git and Terraform.
  • Contribute to documentation, knowledge base, and troubleshooting guides for both Git and Terraform issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Hands-on experience with key AWS /Azure services (EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, VPC, CloudWatch, etc.) &  (VMs, Storage Accounts, Azure AD, Azure Networking, Monitor, etc.).
  • Experience with cloud networking concepts (VPC/Subnet/NSG/VNETs/VPNs).
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates).
  • Good understanding of cloud security best practices.
  • Ability to read and troubleshoot cloud-native logs.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills for Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools (like ServiceNow, Jira Service Management).
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • 35 years of experience in cloud infrastructure support in Microsoft Azure or AWS
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in areas like Azure VMs, networking, load balancers, and storage.
  • Hands-on experience with PowerShell and/or Azure CLI.
  • Understanding of ITIL practices and experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.).
  • Certifications in Azure/AWS (AZ104,AZ900/AWS Certified Solutions Architect)  will be a plus.
