Job Description

Job Overview:

TRT is seeking for a highly skilled and motivated Legal Administrator to join our legal team. The primary focus of this role is to review and negotiate contracts with suppliers, clients, and vendors, ensuring legal compliance and protecting the interests of our organization. The ideal candidate will have expertise in contract law, exceptional negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of various jurisdictions. This position requires attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contract Review and Negotiation:

  • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts with suppliers, clients, and vendors to ensure they align with the organization's policies and objectives.
  • Identify and mitigate legal risks in contracts, and provide recommendations for risk management strategies.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and conditions while safeguarding the company's interests.

2. Legal Compliance:

  • Ensure that all contracts adhere to relevant laws and regulations in different jurisdictions.
  • Stay updated with changes in laws and regulations that might affect contracts and advise stakeholders accordingly.

3. Jurisdictional Knowledge:

  • Possess a strong understanding of the legal systems and requirements in various jurisdictions relevant to the organization's operations.
  • Advise internal teams on the choice of jurisdiction for contracts and legal disputes, considering the potential impact on the company.

4. Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate closely with internal departments, including procurement, sales, and finance, to understand business needs and provide legal support accordingly.
  • Communicate complex legal concepts in a clear and understandable manner to stakeholders, ensuring they are aware of the legal implications of contracts.

5. Contract Management:

  • Work with Document Controller in developing and maintaining a systematic contract management system to track contract statuses, deadlines, and renewals.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal teams on contract-related matters to enhance overall contract management processes.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in the Bar Association.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on contract review and negotiation.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, commercial transactions, and legal compliance.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working as in-house counsel in a corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with international laws and regulations related to contracts.
  • Proficiency in contract management software tools.
  • Previous experience in handling intellectual property matters related to contracts.
