Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to key stakeholders.
Dashboard Development:
- Design and implement visually appealing and user-friendly dashboards using Power BI, ensuring consistency with organizational standards.
- Utilize advanced visualization techniques to clearly communicate complex data sets in a comprehensible manner.
Data Transformation & Modeling:
- Write complex queries using T-SQL to extract and manipulate data from relational databases.
- Develop and optimize data models using Power Query, M-Query, and DAX to support robust reporting and analytics.
- Document Transformations
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, IT, and other analysts, to understand data requirements and deliver insights.
- Present findings and recommendations to management, translating technical details into clear, actionable business language.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analytics and visualization.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and tools, ensuring data quality and integrity.
Preferred candidate profile
Technical Proficiency:
- M-Query: Extensive experience in using M-Query for data transformation and Power Query.
- DAX: Proven expertise in writing and optimizing DAX expressions for complex data models.
- T-SQL: Strong proficiency in T-SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting.
- Data Warehousing: Kimball data warehousing knowledge and Implementation.
- Power Query: Advanced knowledge in using Power Query to connect, combine, and refine data sources.
- Data Visualization: Exceptional skills in designing and implementing effective data visualizations and dashboards using Power BI.
- Power BI Expertise: Demonstrated experience in creating interactive and comprehensive Power BI dashboards.
Certifications:
- Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification is highly desirable.
Experience:
- A minimum of 6+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field. Proven track record of successfully delivering end-to-end data analytics solutions.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on data quality and accuracy.
