Job Description
Purpose:
To oversee the planning, operation, and maintenance of utility systems critical to CQP manufacturing unit, ensuring uninterrupted supply, energy efficiency, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all utility systems including HVAC, compressed air, chilled water, nitrogen generation, vacuum systems, boilers, and power distribution.
- Ensure utilities operate within required specifications to support critical manufacturing environments such as dry rooms and clean rooms.
- Plan preventive maintenance schedules and implement predictive maintenance for equipment reliability.
- Monitor energy usage and implement energy-saving initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Coordinate with OEMs/vendors for AMC, breakdown support, and spare management.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Lead a team of technicians and provide necessary training to improve skill sets.
- Work closely with the production and engineering teams to align utility performance with manufacturing demands.
- Participate in the design and commissioning of new utility systems during plant expansions or upgrades.
- Maintain utility KPIs, documentation, and audit readiness.
Preferred candidate
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (Preferably Electrical Engineering).
- 8+ years of experience in Maintenance of Manufacturing equipment
- Knowledge of PLC/SCADA-controlled utility systems is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of critical utility systems and facility management practices
- Ability to read and interpret electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs) and control wiring layouts.
- Proficiency in utility system operation and maintenance
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards
