Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer with deep expertise in Java and Selenium to lead the quality assurance efforts for our web and enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will drive test strategy, build robust automation frameworks, and mentor junior QA team members while collaborating closely with development, DevOps, and product teams in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks using Java and Selenium.
- Define and implement QA best practices and testing strategies across the software development lifecycle.
- Develop and execute complex test scenarios for functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
- Drive automation-first approach and lead automation test coverage across multiple applications.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git, and Maven. Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure high test coverage.
- Identify and implement new testing tools and technologies to improve test effectiveness and team productivity.
- Lead code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to technical discussions.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes of issues, and support debugging and resolution.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in software QA, with at least 3 years in test automation using Java and Selenium.
- Expertise in SQL Proficiency with automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or custom-built solutions.
- Hands-on experience with BDD tools like Cucumber.
- Strong understanding of OOP, RESTful APIs, and test-driven development (TDD).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Maven, Docker).
- Solid knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr).
- Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of object-oriented systems, application testing & database systems
- Expertise in verbal and written communication skills
