The Purpose of This Role

Unique opportunity to work in WI Enterprise Architecture team as Engineer and accelerate the efforts on Data and API Firm Foundation initiatives.

Demonstrates the highest level of technical expertise and excellence in building and migrating applications to Cloud to meet the customers established expectations.

The Value You Deliver

As a Cloud Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for

• Design and implement continuous delivery pipelines that serve the purpose of provisioning non-prod and production environments
• Develop deployment automation for any type of workload (Application, database, caching, data movement, eventing, etc.) on Azure/AWS using industry standard deployment and configuration tools.
• Develop tools and solutions to integrate, automate, and orchestrate cloud Application needs leveraging Automation, Azure/AWS Managed Data Service, Azure/AWS DevOps and ARM templates.
• Define and bring in Continuous Integration and Continuous deployment best practices
• Recommend a migration and consolidation strategy for DevOps tools
• Manage DevOps Security and Compliance.
• Partner with Development teams to identify the workload patterns and deliver the suitable deployment automation
• Document deployment automation and pipeline details and effectively socialize with DEV teams to educate and leverage
• Provide systems support including responding to monitoring alerts.
• Implement and stay abreast of Cloud and DevOps industry best practices and tooling
• Certification in Azure or AWS Cloud

The Skills that are Key to this role

• Technical
  • Azure/AWS Cloud platform experience
  • Strong Working experience on Application and API development using Java, Spring MVC / Spring Core / Web Services (SOAP/REST)
  • Strong Experience on containerization using Docker
  • Experience on any API management platform
  • Experience on using serverless compute features such as Azure Functions/Logic Apps
  • Experience on using services such as Azure Service Bus, Event Hub or Apache MQ and Kafka
  • Azure/AWS service including Kubernetes experience ( EKS/AKS )
  • Public Cloud automation using Azure DevOps and ARM templates
  • Experience in configuring network security ( Azure AD, NSG )
  • Scripting languages and automate processes: Helm Charts, Yaml, JSON and Python
  • Linux/Unix OS
  • Designing and developing CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployments, using Jenkins, Harness, UDeploy Artifactory, BitBucket and Docker Container tools.
  • Continuous Integration tools and strategies
  • Troubleshooting skills, problem solving and resolution (root cause identification)
  • Experience in developing state-of-the-art cloud solutions for scalability, reliability, security, and performance
