Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and a strong background in operations and monitoring. As a key member of our cloud engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support cloud operations and help build an observability platform around Azure.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain scalable Azure cloud infrastructure.
Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps for IAC.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
Implement and manage containerization (Docker) and orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service - AKS).
Monitor and optimize the performance and availability of cloud applications and infrastructure using tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Prometheus.
Implement and maintain security best practices in Azure environments.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application deployment issues.
Drive continuous improvement in cloud operations and monitoring processes.
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on Azure.
Extensive knowledge of Azure services (e.g., Virtual Machines, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure Networking).
Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD practices.
Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell and Python.
Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and Ansible.
Expertise in monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices in Azure.
Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes/AKS).
Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of cost optimization strategies in Azure.
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar certifications.
Experience with serverless technologies (Azure Functions, Logic Apps).
Familiarity with cloud governance and compliance frameworks.
