SUMMARYJob Title: Junior Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans for equipment.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure optimal performance and uptime of plant equipment.
- Analyze equipment failures and implement necessary corrective actions.
- Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams for maintenance and repair tasks.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation using CMMS or other systems.
- Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and maintenance consumables.
- Assist in commissioning, testing, and calibration activities for new installations.
- Identify and implement energy-saving and process improvement projects.
- Provide training and supervision to technical and maintenance staff as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in maintenance and operations.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Proficiency in using CMMS or similar maintenance management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in Kharagpur, West Bengal.
