POSITION DESCRIPTIONPosition Title: Quality Assurance Test Engineer (Performance testing)
Reports to: QA Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The Performance Quality Assurance Test Engineer will work closely with development team to develop and execute manual and automated performance tests. Project requires to create automated performance scripts, execute the performance test, identify the bottlenecks, provide/take-up tuning opportunities, work with Performance Test and work on multiple projects Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Understand and collect the non-functional requirements from different Stakeholders
- Creating work load model based on usage patterns and growth projections
- Ability to clearly characterize system performance to stakeholders Strong experience in scripting with performance tools
- Designing different types of scenarios like Performance, Load, Stress, and Scalability etc.
- Analyze the test results and produce the reports and present to the management for key decisions
- Good understanding on end to end application performance monitoring in multi-tier environments.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Capable of understanding products and processes and break them down into testing component
- Analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Work in Agile development methodology
Knowledge & Experience Requirements:
- (Minimum qualifications required to perform this job)
- BS/BA degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience in software development and quality assurance.
- 2+ years of performance testing in JMeter or Neoload or any performance tool(this do not include training/learning)
- Experience with JAVA and database debugging
- Must have Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, Neoload etc.
- Must have Experience in Performance, Load, Stress and Scalability Testing
- Must have Experience in testing JAVA applications using Jmeter, Neoload or any other performance tool.
- Experience in different types of scenarios emulation
- Experience in designing the work load model for usage patterns and growth projections
- Must have Experience in Java monitoring utilities like Appdynamics, JProfiler and JConsole
- Good to have Hands on scripting experience with multiple protocols and web services using SOAPUI
