Job Description
Job Title: Technical Illustrator
*Industry: Automotive
Qualification: B.Tech or Diploma/Mechanical/Automotive
Knowledge of Illustration Tool: Catia Composer/Arbortext/IsoDraw/CorelDRAW/Adobe Illustrator.
"Experience: Minimum 4-5 years of experience in technical illustration, preferably in the automotive industry.
"Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Technical Illustrator to create detailed, accurate, and visually appealing illustrations for automotive technical publications and E-Part Catalogue.
- 4-5 years of relevant experience in technical illustration, specifically in creating illustration for the spare part catalogue and E-part catalogue and manuals.
- Proficiency in Catia composer/ Arbortext IsoDraw/Adobe Illustrator.
- Solid understanding of the engineering drawings, Bill of Material (BOM), SBOM, 3D models, Catia files, engineering change drives, and PLM.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in creating complex technical illustrations, a strong understanding of automotive systems.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Excellent communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks.
*Key Responsibilities:
1. Create detailed technical illustrations, diagrams, and graphics for automotive technical publications and E-catalogue.
2. Collaborate with technical writers, engineers, and subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and consistency of illustrations.
3. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of automotive systems, Including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
4. Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as Catia composer, to create 2D and 3D illustrations.
5. Ensure illustrations meet Industry standards, company style guides, and regulatory requirements.
6. Review and revise illustrations based on feedback from stakeholders.
7. Develop and maintain a library of reusable Illustrations and graphics etc.
