Primary Role To plan, design, and manage the development of mines and mineral extraction processes, ensuring safety, efficiency, and environmental compliance.

Major Responsibilities:

Mine Planning & Design:
Develop detailed plans for surface or underground mines.
Determine the best techniques for mineral extraction based on geological data.

Feasibility Studies:
Conduct technical and economic feasibility studies for potential mining sites.
Evaluate resource estimates, extraction methods, and operational costs.

Safety & Regulation Compliance:
Ensure mining operations meet health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Implement risk assessments and safety procedures for workers and equipment.

Operations Management:
Supervise mining processes, including drilling, blasting, excavation, and transport.
Optimize production efficiency and resource utilization.

Equipment & Technology Oversight:
Select and oversee the maintenance of mining equipment and machinery.
Incorporate modern mining technologies (e.g., automation, GIS, remote sensing).

Environmental Management:
Develop and implement strategies to minimize environmental impact.
Manage waste disposal, land reclamation, and water conservation plans.

Team Coordination:
Collaborate with geologists, metallurgists, and other engineers.
Lead technical teams and train junior staff.

Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare technical reports, budgets, and project updates.
Monitor and document daily production data and compliance metrics.
