Job Description

- Conduct chemical analysis: Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses on various samples using a range of analytical techniques, such as spectroscopy, chromatography, titration, and microscopy
- Sample preparation: Prepare samples for analysis by following established protocols, which may involve extraction, purification, dilution, and other sample handling procedures
- Instrument operation and maintenance: Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, including spectrometers, chromatographs, pH meters, balances, and other specialized equipment
- Ensure instruments are calibrated and functioning properly
- Data interpretation and reporting: Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and prepare technical reports summarizing findings
- Present data in a clear and organized manner, using charts, graphs, and other visual aids
- Method development and validation: Develop new analytical methods or modify existing ones to suit specific research needs
- Validate analytical methods to ensure accuracy, precision, and reliability of results
- Quality control and assurance: Adhere to quality control procedures and standards to maintain accuracy and reliability of laboratory results
- Follow good laboratory practices (GLP) and safety protocols
- Research and development: Stay updated with the latest scientific advancements in the field of chemistry
- Conduct literature reviews, participate in research projects, and contribute to the development of new products, processes, or technologies
