Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Performance of various tests in all the sections of the blood storage Centre.
Data entry of results
Data review of test results during off-duty hours/emergency duties
Sample collection & accessioning when required
Documentation-

Blood donor record
Master records for blood and its components
Issue register
Records of components supplied
Register for diagnostic kits and reagents used
Transfusion adverse reaction records.
Records of inventory.

Provision for quarantine, storage, handling and disposal of products and reagents not suitable for use.
Storage of finished products prior to distribution or issue.
Proper collection, processing, compatibility testing, storage and distribution of blood and blood
Problem samples in off duty hours
Technical competency, Time management (TAT)
Complete any other ad-hoc task assigned by the concerned superior.

Preferred candidate profile

Preferred Education:

MLT/ BSc / MSc

2-3 years of relevant experience.

Sound

Knowledge of protocols, rules, and processes.

Hands on experience on automated instruments.

Working knowledge of computer.
