Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
At metercube, the goal of a category manager is to provide an ideal shopping experience to its customers and maximize sales. It is an ongoing process that requires a deep understanding of the home furnishing and dcor marketplace and the buyers persona. You will work with talented professionals, shape our product assortment and contribute to our company's success in the competitive Indian market. DAILY AND MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Optimizing product assortment: Managing product listings, including images, descriptions, and pricing
- Developing strategies: Creating and implementing strategies to drive sales and profitability
- Analysing data: Analysing sales data, customer behavior, and market trends to identify growth opportunities
- Working with teams: Collaborating with internal teams like marketing, sales, and product development, as well as external partners like vendors and suppliers
- Improving customer experience: Planning website layout and navigation to ensure an optimal online shopping experience
- Managing inventory: Forecasting trends in customer demands to ensure a fully stacked inventory
- Negotiating with suppliers: Securing advantageous terms with suppliers and maintaining strong supplier relationships
- Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior leaders about marketing programs, strategies, and budgets
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor's degree in business, retail, management, sales, marketing, or consumer science
- An MBA in a field such as retail management or merchandising
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of market analysis and consumer behavior
- An innovative mindset
