Role Overview
We are looking to onboard an experienced Application Support Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Azure cloud deployments, Linux systems, and CI/CD with Jenkins. The role involves providing L2 support for production systems in both Azure and on-premise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy services in Azure and on-premise environments via Jenkins.
- Perform OS-level troubleshooting, updates, and support on Linux servers.
- Analyze system and application logs using Azure-native tools.
- Create monitoring dashboards and configure alerts within the Azure portal.
- Leverage tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, Zabbix, and SignalFx for on-prem monitoring.
- Provide L2 application support across infrastructure, middleware, and network layers.
- Manage and resolve production incidents within defined SLAs.
- Participate in application deployment processes and address associated alerts
- Understand and act on space and batch alerts in a Linux-based environment.
Technical Skills & Tool Proficiency
- Cloud: Azure deployments and monitoring
- OS: Linux administration and shell scripting (basic troubleshooting level)
- CI/CD: Jenkins hands-on experience
- Monitoring: Splunk, Dynatrace, SignalFx, Zabbix
- Ticketing Tools: Remedy or similar (ITIL/ITSM frameworks)
- Database: Basic DB understanding (no deep DBA experience needed)
Qualifications
- 36 years of relevant experience in application support or infrastructure operations
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- ITIL Foundation Certification preferred
