Job Description
- Duties & Responsibilities: Manage and optimize AWS cloud network environments, including VPC architecture, high availability and redundancy, security, component provisioning and configuration, connectivity, and troubleshooting. Maintain and manage on-premises firewall infrastructure, including configuration, rule management, and security updates. Collaborate with the architecture team to design network solutions, and subsequently implement those designs, including firewalls, VPNs (covering site-to-site, remote access, and cloud-based connections), and ACLs, both on-premises and in AWS. Monitor and manage LANs and WANs, including configuration and management of network devices. Collaborate with other IT teams for seamless network integration and support. Create, update, and maintain documentation of the environment, network configuration, and operational procedures. Collaborate with the IT Security team to implement Network Access Control (NAC), access control lists (ACLs), firewalls, intrusion detection systems, intrusion prevention systems, and develop network security policies and procedures. Provide technical support to internal users and external stakeholders. Provide project management for various network activities, including upgrades, implementations, and migrations. Collaborate with external clients throughout the network lifecycle, delivering reliable and secure solutions that address their specific needs, from initial assessment to successful change implementation. Qualifications & Experience Bachelors Degree or equivalent certifications/training/experience in information technology, computer science, engineering, or related field. Minimum 3-5 years in network engineering. Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals . ITIL Foundation certification (Preferred). Professional certification (ex: CCNA, CCSA, JNCIS-ENT, CompTIA Network+, GSEC) (Preferred). . AWS, Azure, or GCP Cloud Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, . Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect) (Preferred). Requirements & Skills: Experience managing AWS cloud network environments. Experience managing on-premises firewall infrastructure. Expert experience with firewall technologies. Familiarity with network security best practices and frameworks. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and management tools. Proven experience and success with LAN, WLAN, Firewall, and VPN design and implementation. Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
