Build, update, and maintain tooling to deploy, upgrade, monitor, and maintain infrastructure hosted in AWS andAzure.
Contribute to a library of software that enables the smooth operation of BlackRock products.
Help to suggest and design both short-term and long-term engineering solutions to improve existing operational workflows.
Build relationships with stakeholders to understand their roles and requirements and clearly communicate with them on progress, challenges, and questions.
Ensure resilience and stability through quality code reviews, unit and regression testing, and level two production support for owned tools.
Collaborate with team members in a multi-office, multi-time zone environment
Qualifications
A degree specializing in Computer Science, Technology, MIS, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or similar.
1 - 2 years of industry experience in an engineering role. Experience in a scripting language such as Python or Powershell, including respective testing modules.
Exposure to and understanding of cloud ecosystems such as AWS orAzure, including knowledge of their respective APIs for provisioning and monitoring particularly Terraform.
Understanding of Agile work environments, including knowledge ofAzureDevOps, GIT and CI/CD.
Experience with Windows Server environments.
Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and learn quickly.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work with teams across geography.
The consultant will also ideally have the following qualifications:
Experience with Linux server environments.
Experience with Kubernetes environments.
