Job Description
- Position Summary We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Talend Developer to join our data engineering team. This role requires a hands-on expert in Talend Data Integration, who will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing ETL/ELT processes that power our enterprise data ecosystem. You will play a key role in building robust data pipelines, supporting data migration, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Talend (Big Data, Data Fabric, or Open Studio). Work closely with data architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand data integration needs. Integrate data from multiple on-premise and cloud-based sources into a centralized data warehouse or data lake. Create and manage Talend jobs, routes, and workflows; schedule and monitor job execution using Talend Administration Center (TAC). Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across all systems. Optimize existing jobs for performance, reusability, and maintainability. Conduct code reviews, establish best practices, and mentor junior developers on Talend standards and design. Troubleshoot data integration issues and support ongoing data operations. Document technical designs, data flows, and operational procedures. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 5+ years of hands-on experience with Talend ETL tools (Talend Data Integration / Talend Big Data Platform). Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and data modeling concepts (star/snowflake schemas). Proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON/XML, and file formats (CSV, Parquet, Avro). Experience with Git, Jenkins, or other DevOps/CI-CD tools. Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and metadata management best practices. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Talend Cloud, Talend Pipeline Designer, or Talend Data Preparation tools. Familiarity with Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or other modern data platforms. Knowledge of Java or Python is a strong plus. Talend certification(s) or equivalent experience highly desirable.,
