Job Description Placement & Underwriting Executive (Non-EB & EB) Job Title:
Placement & Underwriting Executive Department: Placement - CL Location: Multiple Experience: 2-5 years (Preferred in Insurance Broking/Underwriting) Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are seeking a Placement & Underwriting Executive with expertise in either Non-EB (Fire, Marine, WC, Liability, Engineering) or Employee Benefits (GMC, GPA, GTL) insurance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for RFQ evaluation, negotiating with insurers, policy placement & Issuance, and ensuring smooth coordination with stakeholders. Candidates with prior experience in insurance brokerage will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities: For Non-EB Insurance (Fire, Marine, WC, Liability, Engineering) Underwriting & Risk Assessment Evaluate risks and assess RFQs for Fire, Marine, Workmen Compensation (WC), Liability, and Engineering insurance proposals. Work closely with insurers to ensure competitive pricing and optimal coverage. Placement & Negotiation Fetch Quotes from insurer Portals and prepare QCRs. Liaise with multiple insurers and obtain competitive quotes, if not available on Insurer Portals. Negotiate policy terms, conditions, and premium rates with Insurer underwriters. Ensure timely issuance of policies and renewals. Technical Expertise & Insurer Portals Work on insurer portals for policy issuance and underwriting approvals. Keep track of insurer guidelines and regulatory changes affecting policy placements.
For Employee Benefits (GMC, GPA, GTL) Underwriting & Risk Analysis Assess client requirements for Group Medical Cover (GMC), Group Personal Accident (GPA), and Group Term Life (GTL) insurance. Work with insurers to structure customized employee benefits solutions. Placement & Negotiation Obtain and compare multiple quotes for EB insurance from insurer Portals & Raters.
Ensure best-in-class coverage at competitive rates for our Partners/clients. Handle renewals and policy servicing in coordination with insurers.
Insurer Portals & Documentation
Utilize insurer portals for proposal submission & policy issuance Maintain records of quotes, underwriting decisions, and policy placements.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Industry Knowledge Strong understanding of Non-EB (Fire, Marine, WC, Liability, Engineering) & EB (GMC, GPA, GTL) insurance products. Negotiation Skills Ability to secure the best terms and pricing from insurers. Insurer Portals Expertise Hands-on experience with insurer portals for underwriting and placements. Analytical Thinking Ability to assess risks and recommend suitable coverage. Communication & Coordination Above-average verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and insurers.
Broker Experience Candidates with prior experience in an insurance brokers will be preferred
